COURSE SUMMARY

Location - Classroom, Airport and online content.

Type – General qualification

Eligibility –  There are no pre-requisite entry requirements for this qualification, however at present IDT is only able to offer and deliver this course to people employed at Australian Airports or working in the Aviation Industry in some current capacity.

Duration – The duration of this course varies, depending on the delivery strategy implemented to suit each Aviation group that we deliver to. However, as a guide the delivery period is generally 10-18 months from commencement to completion.

Student Support: Every individual IDT airport staff member / student has access to Trainer / Assessor support Mon-Fri 7.30am – 7.30pm via telephone and email, additional to the face to face classroom support provided.

Certificate IV in Aviation (Aviation Supervision)

This qualification provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of ground operations and service roles.

The Certificate IV in Aviation Supervision is designed to deepen and broaden your underpinning knowledge across the key aspects of Aviation Supervision and Management work including, but not limited to, in areas of:

  • People leadership

  • Safety management

  • Risk management

  • Contingency management

  • Understanding and implementing the operational plan

  • Promote effective workplace practice

  • Recruiting and rostering

  • Self reflection, self development and self management

  • Aerodrome Operations Supervisor

  • Aviation Supervisor

  • Cabin Service Supervisor

  • Cargo Service Supervisor
